Hide and Seek

from The Original Rebels by Visc.

about

'Hide and Seek' is a song about the loneliest creature in the whole world: Sasquatch. Commonly known as 'Bigfoot', this sad and lonely creature is often mocked and ridiculed for his large shoe size. If only he lived closer to his cousin, the Yeti, maybe things wouldn't be so bad.

Anyways, 'Hide and Seek' is written from the viewpoint of the Sasquatch, and just talks about how lonely he is. I accidentally wrote it to sound like he kills himself in the end. Whoops.

lyrics

I was lost in a world
a foreign land had surrounded me
before I knew I was alone
I was stalked for some proof

I never could escape for long
a piece of mind I never knew
I always knew I never did belong
so to the forest I withdrew

haven't been seen in a while
a hide and seek that is endless
once in a while I leave my mark
just to keep them on their toes

a lonely soul needs a game to play
every day I live is blue
I wonder who will search the woods today
searching for a single clue

every day I wake alone
no friends of mine will show their face
and I know I'll always be alone
a hunted prize to be shown

I never could escape for long
a piece of mind I never knew
I always knew I never did belong
now I know what I must do
